Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Enterprise Board will host a half day crash course in product development and how to get your product to market. The course will be given by award winning product development team ‘'Spear Product Design’. During the workshop, the trainer will dedicate one hour to answering questions posed to them concerning your product or product concept.
Contents of this workshop include: Planning and Market Research for your concept, Concept Generation, Product Design & Prototypes, Patents & Intellectual Property, Packaging & Branding, Manufacturing your Product & Product Costs and Routes to Market for your Product.
This 1/2 day workshop is taking place in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire from 9.15am - 1.15pm and only costs €25 per person. Pre-Booking required as places are limited!

DLRCEB is opening up applications for Network membership for the second half of 2013 and is seeking interest from emerging, innovative, quality producers of Craft and Design products located in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown county.
Established in September 2011, the Design Corner is a network of craft designers in the Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown county. To date, the network has run a number of successful network events, workshops and pop-up shops.

Dublin City Enterprise Board in partnership with The Crafts Council of Ireland and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Enterprise Board will host a photography workshop focusing on how to photograph craft products.
Participants will gain a basic understanding of how to use their camera, including an overview of various camera settings and an understanding of how to set-up, light, and frame a shot. Attendees will be asked to bring their own cameras and 20 products to be shot over the course of the day and should leave with 10 usable product images.
This workshop will take place in the offices of the Dublin City Enterprise Board, 5th Floor, O'Connell Bridge House, D'Olier Street, Dublin 2 from 10am - 5pm and the cost is only €40 per person.
The over 50s Enterprise programme “Change, Challenge & Opportunity” has been designed for individuals over fifty who are interested in setting up a business or who are in the early stages (first 18 months) of running a new business.
The 2 day residential course for people over 50 will afford participants sufficient time to consider “Change, Challenge & Opportunity” in their lives and that of their dependents and their friends around them.
Taking place in the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone, Co. Westmeath, the residential consists of two full days to allow the participants space and time to work on their new businesses and receive training in a facilitated round table format that would be appropriate to the potential entrepreneurs in this age group.
The cost per person is only €100, which includes training material, meals & one night accommodation.
